Getting your work reviewed and making sure your portfolio will shine and speak for itself during a job interview, is not an easy task. That is why Career Services put together The Portfolio Review Day to prepare Digital Media students for a real job interview. Students had to present their portfolios in front of the recruiters and receive feedback. The companies reviewing students’ portfolios were Incision Network and The Creative Group.

Over a year ago I learned that Adobe began providing a virtual school and library of resources that goes beyond articles and references that one would regularly find searching the Web. Located here, the site is organized and categorized into Self-Paced Workshops, Collaborative Courses, and Live Events. These are the main features in addition to the previously alluded to articles, references, and other available online resources.

However, once you listen to what CW students have to say, the actual review just turns into an enjoyable conversation. “I talk to hipsters through my art because I’m one of them,” said Digital Media student Carolina, while showing us her portfolio.
