The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation Announces New Co-Presidents

White Plains, NY – The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Beth Del Balzo and Dr. Jennifer Ratner as the newly elected Co-Presidents of The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation (CWCF).

In her five decades with The College of Westchester, Ms. Del Balzo held a number of positions, most recently as President of CW from 2014 to December 2023. Most notably, she played an integral role in developing CW’s distance education division, expanding corporate and community outreach efforts, and steering the college through the pandemic, and is now President Emeritus of CW.  Ms. Del Balzo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private psychotherapy practice, and was appointed to CWCF Board of Trustees in January 2013.

“I am honored to serve as Co-President of the CW Charitable Foundation alongside Dr. Ratner. We have the privilege of working together to continue the important mission of providing financial assistance to students facing financial hardships, ensuring they have the opportunity to complete their education and achieve their dreams,” said Ms. Del Balzo.

Dr. Jennifer Ratner

Dr. Jennifer Ratner, who was appointed to the CWCF Board of Trustees in September 2019, brings her expertise in audiology and a deep commitment to education to her new leadership role. As the co-owner of Audiology Associates of Westchester, Dr. Ratner has extensive experience in private practice and is passionate about supporting educational initiatives. She holds a doctorate in audiology from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and is a certified audiology preceptor, running the student teaching program in her practice. Dr. Ratner’s appointment as Co-President reflects her long-standing dedication to the Foundation.

“I am thrilled to work alongside Mary Beth Del Balzo to support The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation. Together, we look forward to furthering the Foundation’s work and continuing to help students who face financial challenges pursue their educational goals,” said Dr. Ratner.

Together, Mrs. Del Balzo and Dr. Ratner are poised to lead the CWCF as it expands its efforts to provide scholarships and financial assistance to students, ensuring that more students have access to the educational opportunities they need to succeed.
