The College of Westchester is accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U. S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The College is authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA), Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS), and the Associate in Occupational Studies Degree (AOS). The College of Westchester is approved to offer the Business Administration, BBA and the Business Management/Marketing, AAS as distance education learning programs.

People residing in Maine may apply for admission to The College of Westchester's online division only. All admissions acceptance criteria apply. The College of Westchester is exempt from Maine law, Title 20-A, Maine Revised Statutes, chapter 409, and from the Department of Education rule, Chapter 149 due to The College's non-physical presence in the state. Students residing in Maine enroll in CW online programs only. Exemption does not mean approval or endorsement of the college or its programs by the State of Maine.
