Amal is a mother of two girls, married and lives with her family in Somers, NY. She is Palestinian, born in Amman Jordan, where she attended high school. Amal was lucky to have the opportunity to finish her associate’s degree at CW.  As an immigrant and student, CW was her mentor; where she had access to all the resources to help her achieve and be rewarded for her effort and assistance with scholarships! Amal is grateful to be part of CW!

Amal will graduate in November 2024 with her bachelor’s degree in accounting. Her career goal is to master the role of accounting and “never stop succeeding.”

Veronica was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY and graduated from New Rochelle High School. She has been in the Academy of Life Experience and Growth for over 35 years. Veronica is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for her family has been the driving force behind her devotion to succeeding. Veronica’s passion for learning fuels her commitment to finding possibilities and solutions at work.

The College of Westchester has aided Veronica in constantly learning new concepts and tools. She is enrolled in the Accounting program, which will help her gain the language and skillset needed to achieve her future goals. Throughout her time at CW, Veronica has been on the Dean’s list and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Veronica will graduate in September 2024 with her associate degree, and plans to continue into the bachelor’s accounting program. Veronica is humbled and honored for being chosen as the Student of the Semester for the Evening/Online College.” I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.- Philippians 4:13
