Jared and Zeresh have been selected for this distinguished accolade by the Day College Faculty because of their 3.8+ GPA, demonstrated academic excellence, and overall dedication to their studies.

Jared McBride, a native of New York and graduate of Mount Vernon STEAM Academy, chose The College of Westchester to pursue his passion for Information Technology. Drawn to CW’s close-knit and supportive academic environment, Jared thrived both academically and personally, forming meaningful connections with faculty and fellow students. His dedication to his studies earned him consistent recognition on the Dean’s and President’s Lists. Jared graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and is now actively working toward his goal of becoming a Network Engineer.
Zeresh Mattadeen was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and currently resides in Mount Vernon, New York, with her parents, and her two younger sisters. She began her high school education at Hope Secondary School in Victoria, Guyana, before completing her studies at Mount Vernon High School from 2022 to 2024.
Driven by a strong interest in technology, Zeresh chose The College of Westchester for its outstanding School of Information Technology and its interactive, small-classroom learning environment. She was awarded a scholarship from the School of Information Technology and is currently pursuing her associate degree in Computer Network Administration. She is on track to graduate in August 2026.
Zeresh aspires to become a cybersecurity analyst or work in the field of digital forensics. Her long-term goal is to earn both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, further developing her expertise to support investigations involving cyber incidents.
