CW student Alexandra has several reasons to be proud of her daughter. During Women’s History Month, she had no doubts who her inspirational woman would be other than Andrea. She is definitely Alexandra’s SHero.
“The person I choose today as my Shero is my daughter, Senior Staff Sergeant Andrea Amby, who decided to join the United States Air Force and who has been part of such a prestigious entity for 8 years. She’s been living far from home, in different parts of the world preparing for a better future.” relates Alexandra.
“She is my strength and my inspiration that being so young she has already achieved so much. She is also the mother of a beautiful baby. Today she is at Ramstein Airforce Base in Germany and works as a Medical Lab Specialist at the United States Air Force’s studio. She also did her Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology. She is and will always be my hero for having come so far and being proud of our Hispanic roots. She was born in the Dominican Republic and I am proud that she represents our future generation and that only we put our limits on where we want to go.” happily explains Alexandra.
