A report (https://cew.georgetown.edu/report/rankingthestates/ ) out of Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce (https://cew.georgetown.edu ) compared job opportunities for online college graduates across the 50 states and came up with a ranking for each state.

Winter Fest at CW

The Event Planning and Promotion class organized the “Winter Fest,” and event intended to provide students hands-on experience on promotion and community outreach. Students were able to network with other students, faculty, and staff, as well as learning what it takes to have a successful fundraising event. The Winter Fest included refreshments, games, and raffle prizes. All proceeds will be donated to the Yonkers Animal Shelter.

CW Welcomes New Day College Students

During orientation students were greeted by our Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Warren Rosenberg, who encouraged students to follow their dreams, “Set a goal for the week, the month, the semester, and a goal for your life. CW Participates at ICIET 2016

CW’s CIO, Kelly Walsh delivered a plenary session this week at the International Conference on Information and Education Technology 2016 (ICIET 2016). In his presentation entitled “Are You Ready for the Revolution? The Digitalization of Education is Happening,” Kelly examined the current state of numerous technology-enabled changes in education that are speeding the evolution of teaching, learning, and earning credentials, in schools across the world.

Student Took Online Course While in Labor

Sitting for an exam, whether online or in-person, can be difficult. Tommitrise Collins from Macon, Georgia has a tough decision to make when she found herself in labor at the time of a scheduled online exam. She impressed her family, friends, and hospital staff when she opted to take her psychology exam on her laptop while in the delivery ward. She ended up with a passing grade and a new baby girl.  Talk about dedication!
