The Fall Semester Student Recognition/Club Day 2015 took place in the Student Center to honor the best students of last Spring. With Esperanza Cruz, Students Affairs Administrative Coordinator, serving as M.C., students were honored for their achievements last term. President & CEO Mary Beth Del Balzo named BBA student Kenique Jacobs and MAM student Brittanny Rosario, as Students of the Semester for the Spring term.

Orientation is the best time to familiarize yourself with everything around the building, our faculty, staff, and the many valuable services available to you. CW welcomed our evening students during yesterday’s Adult College Fall I New Student Orientation. During the event students were greeted by our President and CEO, Mary Beth Del Balzo, “The things you learn become yours forever.

From mid-September to mid-October the U.S. National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the vibrant culture of Latin American countries. The Hispanic Heritage month is a time for celebrating the culture, art, and achievements of Hispanic people. Organized by the Office of Academics, CW joined the celebrations in the Student Center.

The College of Westchester welcomes our Fall students.

According this this New York Times article (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/26/nyregion/online-summer-courses-attracting-college-bound-high-schoolers.html?_r=0 ) an increasing number of high school students are taking online college courses.

For me, the only day rivaling the excitement of Commencement is New Student Orientation. They are bookends indicating a new beginning and going forward into the relative unknown.

In the spirit of the beginning of the fall semester, let’s talk back-to-school snacks. Apples are a classic fall fruit. Here are just a few good reasons to enjoy “an apple a day”:
