Nicole Kotash is enrolled in the Bachelor degree program in Accounting, and she holds a 4.00 cumulative GPA. She is a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honors Society and has consistently earned Dean’s List recognition. In April of this year, Nicole received the Dr. William R. Papallo Scholarship from The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation (CWCF).  Nicole recently attended The Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism (CISC) Spring Conference in South Carolina, which was sponsored by the CISC and the Foundation of Economic Education (FEE).   Prior to attending CW, Nicole received her Associate degree in Criminal Justice-Corrections in 2014.

Nicole believes she has come this far due to the continuous support from her parents, older sister and boyfriend. She strives to make her family proud. In 2018, she decided to further her education in a field other than the major she chose for her Associate degree. With guidance from her aunt, who is an Alum of The College of Westchester, she decided to enroll at CW so she could earn her degree in a timely manner. Nicole is expected to graduate in December 2019. Her career goal is to land an accounting position at a well-known firm while working towards becoming a CPA.

Yexsi Ramos Alonzo is enrolled in the Associate degree program in Medical Assistant Management; she holds a 3.94 cumulative GPA and has earned Dean’s List recognition.  Yexsi was born in Guatemala and moved to the United States at the age of 15. She attended Brewster High School and graduated in June 2016. She is the first member of her family to attend college. Yexsi chose The College of Westchester because of the small class size and career-oriented classes. She is expected to earn her Associate degree in Applied Science in April 2020.  Yexsi also has an Associate degree in Liberal Arts.
