Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty

Reporting to the Provost/VPAA, the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty plays an integral role in faculty hiring and development as well as curriculum review and development. The Assistant Vice President assists the Provost/VPAA , working collaboratively with other departments in CW’s student-centered environment, with a focus on student retention, serving a population seeking social and economic mobility.

The Assistant Vice President will serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer to Middle States Commission on Higher Education, be responsible for all Faculty oversight, working closely with Department Chairs and the Dean of the Gateway Program (First Year Program). This position also includes a leadership role in curriculum review and development, including innovative approaches to learning, with continuous instructional improvement, and curricular development in compliance with New York State, CW’s regional accreditor and the United States Department of Education.   Interactive membership on key Governance Committees, embracing change in a fast-paced environment and a collaborative leadership style is key to success at CW.
