Administrative Assistant to the Provost - Full Time

The College of Westchester is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to the Provost. This position provides the Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean of Faculty, and Dean of Online Education with administrative support, and provides general support to Chairpersons and Faculty members.  

Responsibilities include administrative tasks associated with preparation of payroll and faculty appointment letters, managing appointment calendars, monitoring vacation schedules, and coordinating setup and preparing minutes for various meetings, membership renewals, conference registrations, handling all faculty supply orders, and general clerical support. In addition, this position requires assistance with arranging coverage for faculty absences.  Therefore, a 7:30 a.m. start time is a must.  Occasional evenings will be required to support college events. This position is non-exempt.


  • Minimum of an Associate Degree (Bachelors preferred)
  • 5 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Applications suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Higher Education a plus.
