With so many of us sheltering in place, video meetings, classes, appointments, and even social gatherings and worship have replaced face-to-face interactions. While these platforms (most frequently Zoom) are incredibly useful, prolonged time spent in front of the screen can have its problems. For example, it may leave us feeling empty and exhausted—physically and emotionally—especially because the brain has to work so much harder to process information. Sound familiar? You may have “Zoom fatigue.”
