The holidays can be a fun and exciting time. But for a large number of people, the holidays are stressful as they wonder how they can provide a holiday feast for their loved ones. The CW family keeps the tradition of helping people in our community!
Prof. Newhook’s Event Planning & Promotion class ran a very successful Food Drive event last night in the Student Center. “Everyone was really friendly and I felt their compassion for a good cause,” said a student participating in the event. The college-wide effort collected more than six boxes of food items that will be delivered to the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry & Homeless.
Food donations were provided by the entire CW Community. “I loved everything, I only spent $5 yet felt it will contribute to making someone’s day. So little makes a big difference,” said another student.
As we wrap up this food drive were going full force with the Turkey Costume Canned Food Drive Contest. The CW family will continue to share love for a few more days!
