Banish These Words From Your Email Vocabulary

Fri, 10/07/2016

Email is an essential part of how we communicate. Whether it’s in our personal life, in the workplace, or in a school setting, the words we use have a huge impact on how people perceive us.

Often, in an attempt to be polite or not overstep boundaries, we overuse qualifier or filler words. Have you ever sent an email in which you had to “just” “try” to say something you “probably” felt a little uncomfortable about and “maybe” even apologized for something like asking a question?

This article from Monster contributor Elana Lyn Gross shares 7 words that make you sound less confident in emails, why you should avoid them, and what to write instead.
