Congratulations to Student of the Semester, Bequine Renee Clark!

Bequine Renee Clark was born in Baltimore, MD and attended Joppatowne Senior High School. Before making The College of Westchester her second home, Bequine obtained an AAS Degree in Respiratory Therapy from Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC. While looking for the perfect college in New York, Bequine chose The College of Westchester because she enjoys small class sizes and the location was very convenient. She obtained an AAS in Accounting and is currently pursuing her BBA degree in Accounting, to be completed in 2016.

It’s easy to see Bequine in action at CW because she is deeply involved in her career. She is a frequent student speaker during Adult Orientation Days, she was a delegate and student speaker at the Association of Proprietary Colleges (APC) in Albany, and is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA.) The list of academic achievements includes Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Magna Cum Laude 2014, Sigma Beta Delta National Honor Society, President’s List, and two times Dean’s Honor List.

Her educational goals include a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Iona College in New Rochelle, and a Ph.D. in Law from Pace University, School of Law, in White Plains. Her career aspirations are to become a CPA, a Health Care Administrator, and an Adjunct Professor at CW to reciprocate the opportunities she received. Bequine resides in Mount Vernon and has two daughters and three grandchildren residing in Abbeville, SC.
