Congratulations Sigma Beta Delta, Phi Theta Kappa & BBA Honors Students!

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

CW honored and inducted 19 students from Phi Theta Kappa, 28 students from Sigma Beta Delta, and 10 students from the CW BBA Honors Program, during the recent Honors Ceremony. Opening remarks included Dr. Warren Rosenberg, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Mary Beth Del Balzo, President and CEO of The College of Westchester.

"Tonight you are receiving a very distinguished honor that will stay with you forever, just like your CW education. Being inducted into an honor society speaks volumes about you as an individual – everyone has a choice to work toward success or simply to coast along and you have chosen to succeed at the highest level," said President Del Balzo.

The purpose of Sigma Beta Delta is to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among business students. On the other hand, Phi Theta Kappa recognizes and encourages the academic achievement of two-year college students. The Honors program is designed to introduce high achieving BBA students to research. Those inducted must develop qualities of leadership, fellowship, and service. Congratulations to all of them!
