The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation (CWCF) Makes a Difference
by Karen Smith
Our 6th Annual Scholars Awards Program and Annual Fundraiser is just a few days away, and while I know there has been a tremendous positive impact on these scholars’ lives, the proof is really in the numbers. We recently ran statistics on the students who have received scholarships from the CWCF and the group has a 90% retention/graduation rate. Meaning, 90% of the students who have received a scholarship through the CWCF have either graduated or are still enrolled. That’s a fantastic statistic as our overall graduation rate ranges from 40-45% depending on the year. Our local community college graduated 10% last reporting period. Overall NY State average for all associate degree students is 29%; so our rates are quite impressive.

Helping students get to the finish line – graduation -- is the most important thing we can do, and these CWCF scholarships help make that possible. So, if you would like to help this worthy cause, please visit our giving page: Give to Scholars. Or if you would like to learn more about the upcoming event and/or bid on one of our auction items, visit: 6th Annual Scholars Award Program

Every dollar helps and it does make a difference in students’ lives. Thank you.
