We Are Making a Difference!
by Karen Smith
Graduation is upon us -- an exciting time for our students but also a fulfilling time for all faculty and staff. It's the time of year where we can really see the results of our hard work day in and day out. But the proof is there all year long. From time to time we all experience a nice encounter with a former student and it's nice to share them. Recently, I have received a number of nice emails or information from others on graduates and how they are doing. While the information is anecdotal, it is still nice to hear. It proves that we are meeting our goals in not only providing students with a quality education but also enriching their lives.

Ryan O., 2006 Business Administration - “Management/ Marketing Graduate
Recently, Ryan's father stopped in to say thanks. He said he was driving by CW and decided to pop in to thank the staff and faculty of the college. He said he is grateful that the college gave his son a chance. According to Ryan's father, Ryan was headed down the wrong path and the college invited him in, listened to him and gave him the opportunity he needed. If he didn't come here, his father was convinced he would be in a much different place right now. After CW, Ryan went to Union College and finished his BS in Accounting. After obtaining his Bachelor's he then entered Northeastern University's Graduate Program. Currently, Ryan is doing his COOP in NYC at Price Waterhouse Coopers, the world's largest professional services firm and one of "The Big Four" accountancy firms.

Anthony T., 2004, Multimedia Graduate
Anthony was recently featured in 914 Inc Magazine. The article acknowledged all of Anthony's accomplishments since he graduated CW in 2004, one such accomplishment being the purchase of his business, Creator's Media Group; the company where he worked while going to CW. Anthony has been very successful since graduating, including be named the youngest person to receive The Business Council of Westchester's "Rising Stars - Westchester's 40 under 40" award. Today, his company is a full-service production house, handling planning, shooting, editing, post-production, and even exhibition videos for a mostly corporate clientele.

Our faculty and staff work very hard every day, and these success stories are the fruits of their labor. As President of CW, I am proud to have such a great team of professionals working together to enrich the lives of our students.
