CW’s CIO Discusses How Colleges Can promote Success Right on Students’ Smartphones

The smartphone has become ubiquitous on college campuses. According to Kelly Walsh, Chief Information Office at The College of Westchester, “a number of applications have come to market that integrate with student information systems and learning management systems, allowing for truly individualized integration and engagement.”

Kelly wrote an interesting article that examines the new breed of smartphone apps that are being implemented in higher education institutions across the country, providing a more personalized and engaging experience for students. According to a study conducted by Pearson last year, 86% of college students used a smartphone, and that number continue to grow.
