93-year-old Finally Gets High School Diploma

In case you’ve ever wondered whether it’s too late to go back to school and complete or further your education, it’s not. 93-year-old Dorothy Huston finally receiver diploma from North High School in Akron, Ohio. In 1942, when she was a senior, Huston was expelled after it was discovered she’d secretly married husband John after he was called into the Air Corps in World War II. Huston went on to have five children and serve as a mentor for young people.

Online College: An option for all ages

Students fresh out of high school represent only a portion of those who enroll in online college courses. There are many reasons they might take online and hybrid courses: For some, it suits their learning style or schedule. The flexibility may be key for those juggling family and work obligations. These courses may also appeal to those looking enhance their job search or transition to a new career.

Learning With Fun at the BBA Games

The Office of Bachelor Studies & Returning Students collaborated with Prof. Paula Cancro’s Project Management class to put together an interactive and informative event called The BBA Games. The setup included 5 different stations where current BBA students informed other students about the benefits of the BBA program. Every station had traditional games intended to have fun, but also to educate students about the benefits of the program. The event included free popcorn and raffles.

Get Set for Daylight Savings

This coming Sunday, March 13, marks the beginning of Daylight Savings time for 2016. Remember to set your clocks ahead. If you find yourself frustrated with having trouble getting up in the morning or finding yourself more tired than usual come 8 pm, keep in mind that it's totally normal to have a hard time adjusting those first few days.
